Most plants feed on sunshine and water, but there are ones who don't mind to consume some flesh. Don't be afraid - they are too small to eat a person or a pet.
You could have one of those flesh eating plants at home. Here is the most interesting info about one of the carnivorous plants - the Venus flytrap.

Those are triggers. If an insects touches two or more hairs the trap shuts immediately. However, if it touches only one hair, the trigger may not work. The reason is that the plant needs energy for shutting the trap - it would be a pity if it shut every time a raindrop touched the triggers. Raindrops can hardly touch more than one hair at intervals of not more than 20 seconds.

The Venus flytrap checks if the victim can satisfy its hunger. For this purpose, the Venus flytrap shuts the sections not very tightly first so that the smallest insects can escape. If there is something left thereafter the jaws shut tightly and digest the victim.

One trap of the Venus flytrap digests the insect approximately for 5-12 days. The duration of the digestion depends upon the age of the trap and the environment.

You shall not feed it with meat or pour with municipal water. Use rainwater, distilled water and insects instead.

I had one at one point. They are great for the fly population. Unfortunately, lady bugs would get in there and it couldn't digest the shells and it slowly died off. Maybe I was doing something wrong. It was very sad.

Maybe domestic ones died because owners did not give them rain water! Did not know that was necessary!

One of my grandsons has one of these and several other bog plants. It amazes me that he is interested in plants. I am proud of him and his interests.

Just to get off the flytrap fora second , a friend of
mine had a Piranha fish that he would feed Hamburg
and steak raw chicken and he said a mouse once in
awhile but I wasn’t up for that one 🫣

I think I would like to have a venus fly trap. I've always heard alot about them and fascinated by them, however, I wouldn't want to see it consumed creatures.
