The ancient Egyptians considered earrings a symbol of wealth. Sailors wore earrings as a symbol of their travels and as a protection from evil spirits. Pirates believed earrings could protect them from drowning.

A new study shows that their cells age at a slower rate. Telomeres of chromosomes become shorter with age and the number of moles decreases with age as well. Dermatologists measured the length of telomeres and the number of moles. The results showed that people who have more moles have longer telomeres.
#6 Sloppy handwriting leads to death
According to the USA statistics, every year more than 7000 people are killed by the doctor's bad handwriting. The best way not to cause harm to health is to write prescriptions electronically.

You missed something about men wearing earrings. Actually sailors were allowed to wear them if they had sailed BELOW the equator. That showed they were experienced and daring seamen, not just coast liners near the shores.

I sometimes think that there are 2 subjects at 'doctor school' that had to be failed badly. Handwriting (ask any pharmacist) and punctuality. Had a quiet chuckle when my doctor complained of being made to wait over 2 hours for his ophthalmologist appointment.

The buttons are true for French uniforms but English uniforms have the buttons on the outside . This would only stop nose wiping if you used the outside of your arm

A doctor friend of mine always filled in his prescription forms in block letters, to avoid misunderstanding. They looked like something a draughtsperson had done.

The last one is so true. My family doctor could not read the letter from my rheumatologist about my recent visit. I had to tell him what she wanted him to know and my daughter is a pharmacist and she runs across terrible handwritten prescriptions all the time.
