#1 Magnetic Hill in India

Magnet Hill is a "gravity hill" located near Ladakh in India. If you drive to the foot of it and shut down the engine, the car will slowly move up the hill. But of course this is only an illusion. The thing is the hill and its surrounding area create an optical illusion that the downhill road (on which your car is) is actually an uphill road. That's why when the the car starts moving one has a feeling that it's moving uphill.

#2 Eternal Flame Falls in the USA

This unique waterfall is located in Chestnut Ridge Park in New York. The main difference of this natural wonder is that behind the falls of water there is a small grotto in which one can see a flame that burns almost all the time. The reason of it is natural gas that the grotto produces.

#3 Frangokastello castle

This castle is located on the south coast of Crete in Greece. Every year in May shadows of warriors appear here. This strange phenomenon is nothing more than a mirage. It can be observed early in the morning when the wind is not blowing and the sea is calm.
There is one evidence of the existence of these shadows from the history. During World War II German occupants saw this mirage and almost went crazy. They even tried to shoot these "warriors".

#4 The Stone Forest or Shilin in China

This is one of the most mysterious places in China. The stone forest was formed more than 200 million years ago thanks to movements of the lithosphere.
This place also has a beautiful legend of its formation. According to it the forest is the birthplace of Ashima - a girl of the Yi people. She was forbidden to marry the man she loved and was turned into a stone in the forest that still bears her name.

#5 Crystal Channel in Colombia

Crystal Channel is the river of 5 colors on Colombia. This is a real treasure for the country and perhaps the most beautiful river of the world. During the year the river looks exactly as many other rivers do, but in summer it becomes rich in colors. This phenomenon is caused by the algae that grow on the bottom of this river.
